Sheldon Gold, PT, DPT
Mr. Gold is originally from Cleveland Heights, Ohio where he attended Cleveland Heights high school. While in high school he participated on the swim team and was a member of the varsity medley relay team that qualified for the state finals in his junior year. He also worked as a volunteer at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights.
In 1974, Mr. Gold worked as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio while studying at Ohio University. He also volunteered at the University in treating patients and instructing pre-physical therapy students in the understanding and use of all clinical modalities. He played piano and guitar and performed in a band playing weekends at the student union center.
Mr. Gold Completed his undergraduate work at the Ohio University where he attained his Bachelors of Science in Zoology with the concentration in Pre-Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Psychology.
Mr. Gold is a 1981 graduate of the Ohio State University of Medicine. Which is a school of Allied Medical Professions in Columbus, Ohio. Following his Physical Therapy training, he completed an internship at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals in Cleveland. He moved to Atlanta, where he was director of an Orthopedic and Pain Management outpatient clinic. He performed community service by treating homebound patients.
After marrying and having two children, he moved back to Cleveland to be near his family. He worked as the Director of Physical Therapy for several outpatient Orthopedic Medical and Physical Therapy clinics and was the sole Physical Therapist responsible for the diagnosis and treatment plan of all patients referred for the therapy and was responsible for the training and supervision of all staff in 13 locations in Ohio. In 1997 Mr. Gold opened his own private practice which included six locations.
His 43 years of experience and knowledge in all areas of the operational and clinically relevant conventions of both inpatient and outpatient Orthopedic medicines, as well as of physical therapy clinical settings, are key to his ongoing success and high reputation.
